This year's Horse Fair was one to remember for John Lyon's as the featured clinician, the extremely cold wintery weather, and the great Paso Fino breed demo, which won the Reserve Award for Best Demo! |
| Participants in the demo were Dina Gutschick riding Nina de Agualongo, Leonard Branson riding Declaracion de MiLe, LeAnn Hall riding Flint Oak Certainty, and Michele Branson riding Nike de MiLe. | ![]() |

The theme song for this year's demo was based on Pink's "Get the Party Started--the Paso Finos are coming up!" The crowd really seemed to enjoy it. The first day, we had three inches of snow on us while waiting to go into the arena. |
| Those of us who wore glasses had to quickly get rid of them before going into the heated arena, because the glasses steamed up and we couldn't see anything. The second day, was a blustery 0 degrees--our teeth were chattering! | ![]() |

We haven't heard yet, but our stalls were also up for a Best Stall Decoration award. The official photographer told us that he thought, ours was the most complete stall area. Anyway, our sponsor, Ozark Empire Paso Fino Horse Association will get a $50 credit towards next years event. |
| Thank you to all who gave of their time to run errands, decorate, help, encourage, and cheer for the Paso Fino at the 2002 Illinois Horse Fair! | ![]() |
